Discipline Rules

Bike                       Any resistance level is accepted with no free spinning. Competitors are required to remain seated until distance completed.

 Alternate Squat   The line will be 14 inches apart, competitors will have to cross the line both front

Thrusts                 and rear – with no sliding of feet. (Change to previous – now single leg)

 Row                        Competitors will activate the display by starting to row. Straps are optional, with no external assistance. You cannot leave seat until the distance is completed.

 Press-Ups             Beginner and Intermediate Women may be in the kneeling 3 quarter position. Hands will be placed on Step Box (1 riser high) with chin touching bar on downward motion and completed with full extension. Both feet will be together and both in contact with the mat.

 Sit-Ups                   Feet will be placed under a Step Box (2 risers high). Elbows must touch the top of the knee on the upwards motion, with the upper back touching the mat on the down phase. Hands must remain in contact with ears/head at all times and every effort must be made for elbows to touch mat on down phase with no excessive hip movement.

 Step-Ups                Feet (heels) must cross the white line at the front of the box, with knee extension and the body in an upright position. The weights cannot be rested on thighs and every effort must be made to place the weights back onto step when completed.

 Shoulder Press    The bench will be in the upright position, the lower back must be in contact with the bench at all times. Competitors will take the barbell from the floor and start from the chest. Full extension on the upward motion, with the bar below the chin on the down phase. The head can be tilted left or right during repetitions. (Body Pump Bar)

 Treadmill              Competitors can run at any speed – the speed can be changed by both the competitor or judge (on request) however no holding is allowed unless to avoid falling. Incline where appropriate will be set prior to speed being entered.

 

Bench Press         Start from full extension, the bar must touch the chest on the down phase with full extension on the upward motion. Feet can be on the floor or bench, however the back must remain in contact with the bench throughout. (Olympic Bar – 20kg and over)

   

Train with good form as judging will be strict but fair – Competitors can rest at any time, but if caught up then will be ask to move aside – ensure estimated times are realistic. Enjoy the day
