UK CROSS TRAINING ASSOCIATION LINKS TO AFFILIATED WEBSITES Any member wishing to promote services to Cross Trainers on this page should contact us. A reminder for those interested is that we consider the UKXTA website a portal to the many other cross training sites. We will not be running chat rooms and forums or publicising event finishing orders other than our own cup competition. One of the main Cross Training sites that gives details about past competition results and competitor information. It also carries the latest news in all the Cross Training world. It also has athlete profiles and more training tips. It is a must visit for all Cross Trainers. This is a gym run in Bromley, Kent by two avid Cross Trainers, Becky and Gary. Check it out for details of their competition and the many other activities in their gym.

The Health Club Games is an annual event that for cross trainers is a great day out. The Superthon is the main one to do as it involves a 1bench max, a 1 mile run, as many press ups as possible in 2 minutes, a 5km bike ride, holding a 'Plank' position for as long as possible and finally a 2km row. All with only a 5 min rest period between them all. Depending on your times and scores you get points (rather like the Decathlon) and the winner is the one with most points at the end. 2005 event winners were Hywel Davies and Jacqui Macquisten. Check the site out for more details The Netfit site is full of useful information on training and training advice and probably houses the biggest online store of different exercises for all muscle areas in the world. If you ever find yourself bored of doing the same exercises again and again, this site will give you some more ideas. It is well illustrated with useful pictures. The Bodyworks website is run by two top Triathletes Glenn Cook and Sarah Coope, both who have done very well at Cross Training. Sarah was 5 times European triathlon champion and Glenn is now an Olympic coach. It offers the reader great training information. The top training services they offer are also available for all to see on the site. Bodyworks is based in Eastbourne, Sussex. |
