How do I post a time to potentially enter the event?

For individuals to enter the event, they need to get a gym official to time themselves on a run through of the course. A statement signed by your gym manager needs to be sent to The Association along with a membership application and fee. The following details are required:-

What information do I need to send in?

Your name, address, contact number, email address, gym name and telephone number and the gym manager's name.  We will also need to know the make of the equipment that you have used ( there may be slight calibration differences with some of the cardiovascular equipment and adjustments may need to be made to overall times to compensate and create fairness for all). We will also need your bike, row and treadmill splits.

If you are successful and have posted a time fast enough to get into the competition we reserve the right to contact the gym for more details of your times.

The membership fee is currently £10 per year and once you are a member any number of times can then be emailed to us. See the

Membership Information  for more details.

At the end of the deadline on the 8th July 2006 the top times for the available places will be invited to compete in The National Competition.

What about the team event?

If you want to enter a team for the team event you need to contact the county team representative in your county. Details of these representatives are on this website. They will be having their own way of selecting the best team. If, and only if, your county does not yet have a representative, send you team time in as it still may be faster than the other counties teams. Only the 7 fastest teams will get asked to go to the County Cup competition. If you live in a county that has no representative and you would like to become one contact us by email via this website. The host county will automatically get an entry for a women's and a men's team.

What about posting personal best times for the age category competition?

Alternatively if you do not wish to enter the individual Cross Training Cup competition, you can do just one run through of the course and post that time for the age category competition. Your time and position will be recorded on the national register. Annual membership of The Association allows you to post as many times as you wish as long as they are faster than your previous time. After you have sent in your initial time along with membership fee by post, you will be able to send in future times by email from your gym manager.
